Chinese-American Science and Technology Keynote Speech

December 29th, 2008

Mr. Bailey was selected to present the keynote speech at the Chinese-American Science and Technology conference in Salt Lake City, UT on December 6, 2008.  The conference held annually is to promote development of business relationships and technology between the United States and China.  In his keynote address Mr. Bailey spoke of the future of wireless technology and how current economic conditions may impact the wireless industry.  Of special note, Mr. Bailey spoke of FreeLinc’s patented NFMI ( near field magnetic induction) technology which is perfectly suited to address the exploding demand for secure personal area networks associated with cellular telephone users.  Using FreeLinc’s NFMI a cellular phone user could use wireless accessories, like a headset, without the worry of someone “hacking” into their wireless link.  In addition, NFMI will allow for the expanded use of the cellular telephone as a “wireless wallet”.  Using a cellular telephone as user could hold their phone next to a vending machine, toll booth, etc and the secure wireless NFMI link would provide for the cellular users phone to be charged for the amount of the transaction. This technology is being introduced in Asia and Europe now but with limited distance.  FreeLinc’s patented NFMI capabilities will extend this limited range.
